Adopt A Pet is not an animal shelter!

There are so many animal shelters and rescue schemes out there already that are in desperate need of help. Thus we decided that to be able to help all of them would be much more beneficial for the abandoned and abused than to open yet another one.

For this reason Adopt A Pet was created to be your one stop pet adoption web site!

Here you can view all of the organisations across South Africa that already rescue, rehabilitate and re-home the abandoned and abused pets out there.

All you need to do is:

• Click on the adoptions link
• Select the province you would like to view pets in
• View the list of shelters in your area
• Take a look at their pets desperate for loving home
• Contact the relevant shelter or agency
• ADOPT!

Please note that at Adopt A Pet we do not adopt out animals over the Internet and we do not adopt out your animals for you. This means whether your a private individual or an organisation, you still have full control over the adoption process.

Yup, private individuals too!  We advertise pets needing to be re-homed by their current owners should they not want to take them to an Animal Shelter
