C.A.R.E. about Wildlife
We are dedicated to baboon and wildlife rehabilitation and conservation set in the heart of a nature reserve besides the Kruger Park, Limpopo. We specialise in caring for baboon orphans and bonding orphan baby baboons to adult surrogate baboons. With an onsite veterinary clinic, education centre, semi-wild enclosures, quarantine facilities and orphan nursery we are well-equipped to provide expert care.
C.A.R.E. (The Centre for Animal Rehabilitation and Education), established over 26 years ago, in 1989 is a rehabilitation centre for our beautiful baboons and other small indigenous wildlife, on the riverside of the Olifants River in Limpopo South Africa.
The Rehabilitation Centre, established by the late Founder Rita Miljo, was established with the momentum of a simple question;
“Why wait until a species is on the brink of extinction before we try to help?”
C.A.R.E., located in the heart of a “Big 5 Nature Reserve” between Hoedspruit and Phalaborwa, bordering the Kruger National Park South Africa, is a wildlife rehabilitation sanctuary dedicated to the care, welfare, rehabilitation and protection of injured and orphaned indigenous wild animals. Featured on Animal Planet, ITV, Carte Blanche and in other media, C.A.R.E. is renowned for the vital, life-saving and pioneering work with wildlife.
