Remember Eric?
On 14 July 2017 Delmas Animal Shelter received a call for help from one of the neighbouring farms.
It turns out that a dog was found caught in a snare on the farm Klipspruit and he was seriously wounded. Of course, Delmas Animal Shelter answered the call for help and the dog, which we later named Eric, was brought in immediately by the concerned Farmer.
Eric was caught in a snare which resulted in deep lacerations to his neck and left front leg. The road to recovery would be a lengthy one but we were determined that the outcome would be positive.
Here we are 5 YEARS LATER, Eric’s body and spirit has healed completely and is now living a healthy, happy life at Delmas Animal Shelter as one of the staff members and our Shelter Mascot.
A HUGE thank you to the Farmer that saved Eric and brought him to us, and an extra special thank you to all who donated towards Eric’s treatment and recovery
