TEARS Animal Rescue is dedicated to turning tears of sadness into tears of joy by rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming hundreds of animals each year. Through your generous support, we provide critical services like free sterilisation and subsidised medical assistance to low-income communities across 250 square kilometres of the southern Cape Peninsula.
Our mission goes beyond rescue – we also provide basic animal healthcare, such as vaccinations and pest control, while transporting homeless, unwanted, and injured animals to the TEARS Veterinary Clinic for treatment. Our goal is to give every animal a second chance at a happy life.

With your help, TEARS cares for over 100 dogs and 140 cats at any given time. We’re proud to be part of over 720 adoptions per year and perform more than 7,500 sterilisations annually, making a lasting impact on animal welfare in our region.
