Parker is a gentle, sensitive 8-year-old Border Collie who has experienced a heartbreaking change in his life. Adopted from Border Collie Rescue five years ago, he was part of a loving family until both of his owners sadly passed away from cancer. Now back in the rescue’s care, Parker is hoping to find someone who can offer him the security and companionship he once knew.
Naturally shy around unfamiliar people, Parker needs a calm, patient home where he can settle in at his own pace. New situations can make him anxious, and he responds best to gentle encouragement rather than being rushed. Once he feels safe, his affectionate personality begins to shine through.
Although he enjoyed long walks and outdoor adventures in his younger years, Parker now prefers a slower pace. He’s happiest relaxing somewhere comfortable or spending quiet time near the people he trusts. A peaceful household with someone who appreciates a senior dog’s need for reassurance and routine would suit him beautifully.
Currently in Centurion, Parker is searching for a family who understands that trust sometimes takes time. If you have a quiet home, a little patience and plenty of affection to share, contact Border Collie Rescue to request an adoption application and learn more about Parker.
